With the stocking of approximately 5,000 brown trout into Hopewell creek on Saturday we wrap up the hatchery season. While we started with 10,000 eggs, our phone in the hatchery succumbed to the moisture and had an electrical short preventing the autodialer from calling out. By the time it was discovered, only about half could be saved. Those that survived took advantage of the extra space and feed and averaged just over 3" in length. Big thank you to all the volunteers that helped with the day to day, coverage, and with the stocking. This wouldn't succeed without you!
